Whaddayacallit #1

I'm starting a new feature on this blog. Every week I'll pose a question and we'll see how many people come up with the correct answer. If this become popular, I'll create a whole new blog for it. This first edition is call Whaddayacallit. I'll present a picture of something and your job is to tell me what it is or what it is used for. I'll give you some clues to help you, but the rest is on you. Let's begin.

This weeks Whaddayacallit is a common household item that most everyone owns. It comes in a set, it's small and white-ish, and comes with screws. That's all I'm willing to say for now. I may pose more clues later. So...

What is this thing? Post all responses on the comment section of this post. Thanks A Lot!

UPDATE: There is a new blog for this; it's just a lot easier that way:

Get Ready... Get Set... Go?

After a polite prodding from a friend of mine, I'm going to try to do a weekly update. Now, I know what you are thinking: You've said this a million times. How is this any different?

Well... I don't actually know. Maybe it's the fact that I am required to blog in one of my classes, so I might as well keep this one up as well. Let's begin...

School is in full swing. Sort of. Yes, school has started, but I've been only been able to attend just 2 classes so far. I'm waiting on Sallie Mae right now. Such fun.

FETCH!... has stalled, because of school. I'm fighting hard for it. Let's hope for a directed study.

Lately I've been feeling unmotivated, which is a huge problem for me because I have to be doing something or thinking about something ALL THE TIME. I can't stand not doing something that expands my mind. So I've been reading a lot of books. I've been reading these books by the folks at mental_floss. They put out a series of books about random trivia and not-so-random trivia in a very engaging way. Right now I'm reading Cocktail Party Cheat Sheets, which give a nice summary of famous people, places, and events. It's quite fun actually.

I've also been spending time listening to the archives of the hit NPR/Chicago Public Radio show Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! (The NPR News Quiz). It is, without a doubt, one of the most entertaining shows ever. Every week they do a fun recap of the week's news with a panel of great minds. Listeners can call in to play their games to win the most coveted prize on NPR: Carl Kassell's voice on their answering machine. They tape live every week at the Chase Auditorium in Chicago. Sometimes they travel. I hope they come to Boston. But I guess I have to be adventurous and go to Chi-Town myself. Probably as a b-day present to myself. Keep up the great work, guys; you put a smile on my face every time I listen.

Today I'm supposed to hang out with my friend Caitlin. Not sure if that's gonna happen.

Our dryer was finally fixed. Thank God.

I shut off my phone for 4 days straight a few weeks ago. When I turned it on, I learned that no one tried to contact me.

It's a surprisingly good feeling when you can go to a bar and skip the line.

I "lost" two friends in the last 2 weeks. Garytt left for Los Angeles, and Sam for the Ukraine. Good luck to both of you.

It's time to post this puppy. So Enjoy Yourselves.

GOOOOOOO FETCH!

I got the internship! I actually got it a few weeks ago, but I haven't been at a compy for a while. I'd love to give an update on everything. Expect something soon.
